What makes this tracker different

Frozen-in-time snapshots

Most trackers store a job link and a status. We freeze the full job description and your ATS match score at apply-time when you log from a GotResumeBuilder resume. If you re-tailor that resume later, the tracker can flag that the linked resume has changed since you applied.

Score-vs-outcome insight

Once you've logged enough applications, the dashboard surfaces the correlation: do higher ATS match scores actually produce more interviews and offers? Personal data, no guesswork.

AI follow-up letters

For applications that have gone quiet, Premium can draft a polite follow-up letter using the frozen job description plus the linked resume, so the follow-up references the right role even if your resume's current target job has changed.

Stale and ghost detection

Applications that sit in Applied for 14+ days surface as stale. Active applications with no status movement for 30+ days get flagged as ghost candidates.

Funnel analytics

See your full pipeline: how many applications you sent, how many converted to phone screens, onsite interviews, offers. Weekly activity chart. Identify where you drop off.

CSV export

Export the full tracker to CSV anytime — for your own records, your career coach, or a spreadsheet workflow. Excel-safe (CSV-injection-guarded).

Job Application Tracker — FAQ

How is this different from Teal, Huntr, or Simplify?

Most trackers store a link and a status. Ours freezes the full job description and your ATS match score at apply-time when you log from a GotResumeBuilder resume, then flags whether the linked resume has changed since. Premium follow-up letters use the frozen job description so the role context stays correct.

Is the tracker really free?

Yes — the tracker is free for all users with a GotResumeBuilder account, including all of its analytics: frozen JD/score snapshots, status timeline, ghost detection, funnel analytics, and CSV export. The only Premium-gated feature inside the tracker is AI follow-up letter generation for stale applications. Many users get sponsored Premium access through our partnerships with schools, public libraries, and non-profit organizations — check with your institution.

Can I import existing applications from another tracker?

Manual entry is the current path; bulk-import via CSV is on the roadmap. The log dialog lets you choose the resume used and add the job URL, source, date, and notes.

What happens if I delete the resume I applied with?

The application row survives. The frozen JD snapshot, ATS score snapshot, and your notes stay intact — the row's just no longer linked to a live resume. The tracker is built to preserve the application record even when resumes change.

Does the tracker pair with the AI cover letter generator?

Yes. Each application can have a saved cover letter linked to it. When you generate AI follow-ups for stale applications, the AI uses the JD snapshot from the tracker, so your follow-up references the right job — even if your resume has been re-tailored to a different role since.
